Stitching With Nature- ONLINE - 25 October 2026
Stitching with Nature - Online Workshop
25 October 2026, 2-5 pm GMT
Join textile artist Katerina Knight online for a one-of-a-kind embroidery experience: Stitching with Nature, to learn the art of embroidery with dried flowers and botanicals.
In this workshop, Katerina will introduce a series of hand embroidery techniques that explore how dried plant materials can be used as alternative embellishments. You’ll learn how to incorporate materials such as lavender seeds, cornflowers, marigold, and statice, with traditional hand stitching techniques.
Guided step by step, Katerina will demonstrate stitches including double darning, couching with a single thread, herringbone, and cross stitch, helping you to create intricate, textured surfaces using thread and nature.
No embroidery experience is necessary, you are encouraged to take each stitch slowly and learn at a pace that is comfortable for you.
The workshop will take place online via Zoom, the session will not be recorded.
Katerina will share with you a detailed materials list of what you need to prepare and supplementary stitch instructions ahead of the workshop.
*Please note the materials you will need to prepare are not extensive, they will consist of a piece of cloth, threads, needles, scissors, an embroidery hoop, and some dried plant materials, but Katerina will share full details once you have booked your place.
